This photo, included by the Russian MOD in today’s presentation, was also previously used by Russia in 2018. They claim that this was previously done during the Syrian civil war. One claim was that provocation around a "dirty bomb" was intended by Ukraine to cause panic and increase the flow of refugees across Europe.Ī reverse image search of this still reveals that it was taken during 11 September 2001 in New York.Īnother claim is made that the West use false information to provoke Russia and justify military action. Today the Russian Ministry of Defence released a presentation to back up claims that Ukraine might use a ‘dirty bomb’ in the war – but some of the pictures used are fake or out of context.
